Delco PSPE Community Outreach
The Delaware County Society of Professional Engineers has been providing community service to the next generation of engineers since 1988, when they started the MATHcounts competition for middle school students. Since then, they continue to participate in judging the Delaware County High School Science Fair, sponsoring Future City Teams for Middle Schoolers, and in 2005 began a scholarship program for high school seniors seeking a degree in engineering. Proceeds from the annual golf outing benefit Delco PSPE’s activities listed above with a concentration on funds being placed towards engineering scholarship awards for local high school students in both Delaware and Southern Chester Counties.
